Frequently Asked Questions
How does Nodoo sync with my system Reminders and Calendar?
Upon first launch, Nodoo will request local system permissions to access Apple Reminders and Calendar. Once granted:
- Any task added to the configured sync list in Apple Reminders will automatically appear in Nodoo.
- Any task modified in Nodoo will sync back to Reminders in real time.
- Calendar events will overlay on your schedule view to help you avoid overbooking.
This sync runs completely locally inside the OS sandbox using Apple's official EventKit APIs.
Where is my task data stored?
Your task data is stored locally on your device in a secure private database. This ensures that your checklists are saved locally and are highly secure. If you enable cloud sync, our secure database infrastructure synchronizes this data across your devices seamlessly.
How can I configure the global hotkey?
On macOS, you can activate the Quick Entry window at any time using a global keyboard shortcut.
To configure this shortcut, click on the Nodoo icon in the menu bar, open Settings (or press Cmd + ,), and navigate to the "Keyboard" section to bind your preferred combination (e.g., Ctrl + Space).
Does Nodoo collect any user analytics?
No. We believe in absolute privacy. Nodoo collects zero analytics, zero crash logs on third-party servers, and zero telemetry data. The app operates locally on your machine and communicates only with our secure cloud servers for syncing. Your task data is fully protected and private to you.
